Osimhen out of Eagles friendlies

Napoli has confirmed Victor Osimhen will not be joining the Nigerian camp for the international friendlies against Ghana and Mali later this month due to injury.

Napoli coach Francesco Calzona says an inflammation of the scar from an old injury is responsible for Osimhen’s no show against Juventus last weekend and has stopped him from international duty with Nigeria. Osimhen is not on the list of players Napoli released on international duty.

The Nigerian was only on the bench for Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Inter at San Siro and barely trained in the days before the match.
