Osimhen Ranked 52nd Globally, Drops to Fifth in Africa in Transfermarkt Valuations

Victor Osimhen has been ranked 52nd in the world and fifth among African players in Transfermarkt’s newly released list of the top 100 most valuable footballers.

The Nigerian striker, currently with Galatasaray, carries a valuation of €75 million, placing him among the continent’s elite talents.

At the very top of the global list, Barcelona’s teenage prodigy Lamine Yamal leads the way with a staggering €200 million valuation. He shares the same figure with Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, but Yamal is ranked first due to his younger age.

The 18-year-old inspired Barcelona to the La Liga title with 42 goal contributions across all competitions, while Haaland netted 38 goals in 52 appearances for City.

Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé, once level with Yamal and Haaland, has slipped to third after a €20 million downgrade. Despite scoring 42 goals in 44 games, his inability to deliver silverware for Madrid and off-field factors contributed to the drop.

The top five is rounded out by Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise and Barcelona’s Pedri, both valued at €150 million.

In total, 13 players now exceed the €100 million threshold, with Paris Saint-Germain boasting four of them, João Neves, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Vitinha, and Désiré Doué, making PSG the most valuable squad in world football.

From the Premier League, Haaland remains the only player in the top ten, while Arsenal’s Declan Rice is the second most valuable English-based star at €120 million. Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham (€130m) and Vinícius Jr. (€140m) also feature prominently, highlighting La Liga’s dominance in the upper ranks.
