Osimhen set for grand Istanbul welcome as Galatasaray finalize blockbuster deal

Victor Osimhen is poised to receive a hero’s welcome at Istanbul Airport, a far cry from his last low-key arrival in the early hours of the morning.

This time, Galatasaray fans are planning a vibrant reception for the Nigerian striker, complete with chants, scarves, and a sea of yellow and red, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his storied career.

The fanfare comes as Galatasaray finalize a high-profile transfer agreement with Napoli, securing Osimhen’s return with a deal reportedly worth €75 million.

The payment structure includes €40 million upfront, with the remaining €35 million spread in installments until July 2026.

Osimhen’s contract with Galatasaray is equally headline-worthy. He will earn €16 million per season, with performance bonuses and advertising deals potentially boosting his total earnings to €25 million annually.

One of the most intriguing elements of the deal is Napoli’s strategic insertion of a 10% sell-on clause.

Originally, Napoli demanded a 20% share of any future transfer, but agreed to reduce it in exchange for a €5 million success bonus.

The clause activates only if Osimhen is sold for more than €75 million, and Galatasaray are barred from selling him to any Serie A club until 2027—a move that protects Napoli’s domestic interests.
