Osimhen set to miss 12th Serie A game of season

Victor Osimhen is a major doubt for Napoli’s game on Friday against Fiorentina at the Artemio Franchi in Firenze.

The Nigerian did not participate in training on Wednesday due to a muscular problem and only had physiotherapy and personalized work in the gym.

According to the latest reports from Italy, the Nigeria international will not feature on Friday which will make it the 12th time the 25 year old was not available for selection this season in the league.

He missed four games between October and November due to a hamstring muscle injury, one through an indirect card suspension and another due to fitness concerns.

He also missed five games due to the Africa Cup of Nations between January and February this year.

Osimhen has scored 15 goals in Serie A this season, 11 less than he scored in 32 appearances last season which fetched him the top scorer award and the first African to do so.
