Osimhen still looking for first Cup goal in Italy as Frosinone humiliate Napoli 4-0
Victor Osimhen was subbed on in the 67th minute but his presence failed to inspire Napoli who were annihilated 4-0 by Frosinone in a Coppa Italia round of 16 game at the Armando Maradona stadium in Naples.
It was the Nigerian’s fifth Coppa Italia game and the fifth time he has failed to score in the competition despite scoring 67 times in 117 games for Napoli since he moved from Ligue 1 side, Lille to the Serie A in Italy in September 2020.
The 24 year old will now fully concentrate on the Serie A and their upcoming games at the capital where they will be playing Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma.
Osimhen has not scored in five encounters against the Giallorosi in five games, one of the top sides after Inter and AC Milan he is yet to score against in Italy.
