Premier League champion, Manchester City joins race for Osimhen
Sky Deutschland is reporting that reigning Premier League champions, Manchester City are among clubs aiming to bring Napoli hitman, Victor Osimhen to England this summer.
The report adds that the Cityzens have made first contact with Napoli to discuss a potential transfer.
The Partenopei have placed a price tag of over €100m (£88.2m) on the Nigerian who is spearheading the club’s charge to their first Scudettoin 33 years with 19 goals and five assists in 22 games throughout the 2022-23 season so far.
The 24 year old is also on top of the top scorer’s list for the ongoing season and his contract with Napoli is due to run until the 2024-25 season after joining from Lille in September 2020.
Napoli are seemingly facing an uphill battle to retain his services beyond the end of the campaign as many top clubs in Europe are scrambling for the Nigerian’s signature.
Fellow Premier League sides, Chelsea, Man United, Arsenal, Newcastle and Tottenham have been linked with Osimhen. Bayern Munich (Germany), Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid (Spain) and PSG (France) have also beenlinked with the Super Eagles forward.
