Premier League: Iwobi Ruled Out of Aston Villa Clash

Fulham manager Marco Silva has confirmed that midfielder Alex Iwobi will miss the upcoming Premier League clash against Aston Villa following an injury sustained in the London derby against Brentford.

Iwobi was forced off shortly before half-time after going down unchallenged while chasing a ball. He headed straight down the tunnel and was replaced by his international teammate Samuel Chukwueze.

Speaking to FFCtv, Silva described the news as a setback

‘Bad news about Alex. Alex is going to be out for the game and of course Kevin and Kenny are still out as well. All the other players are going to be available.’

Iwobi’s absence marks the first time he has not featured in Fulham’s starting line-up for a Premier League match since returning from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Hale End Academy graduate has been a key figure this season, making 27 league appearances, scoring four goals, and providing three assists across 2,279 minutes of action.
