Preston 0-3 Leicester City: Fit Iheanacho snubbed for the fourth straight game

Kelechi Iheanacho has been told by Leicester City manager, Enzo Maresca that his days are definitely numbered at the club after the Nigerian was not named in the matchday squad for the 3-0 demolition of Preston North End in a Sky Bet Championship matchweek 49 tie at the Deepdale.

Iheanacho has not featured for the Foxes since he played for just 17 minutes in their 1-0 loss at The Denn to their host, Millwall in early April.

Since, the Nigerian has not made the matchday squad in the following four games despite Maresca declaring him fit to play.

Iheanacho’s contract expires this season and it looks a cast iron certainty that the former Man City forward will not be returning to the Premier League with the King Power stadium outfit.

He has started just 10 of the 22 games he has featured in this term and missed 23 other games in the competition, overlooked in 12 of them in the matchday squad list.

The 27 year old started his Sky Bet Championship career like a house on fire, scoring five goals in his first 12 games.
