Raheem Sterling could face FA ban!

Winger appeared to throw an object back into the stands during 4-1 win at Tottenham

After he was excluded yet again by Gareth Southgate from the England team, Chelsea forward, Raheem Sterling could face a ban after appearing to throw an object back into the Tottenham crowd during Chelsea’s 4-1 win on Monday night.

The Football Association (FA), according to the London Evening Standard, are investigating footage released on Chelsea’s own TikTok account, which showed an object striking Cole Palmer in the leg after he equalised through a penalty.

‘As the players moved away to restart the match, Sterling appeared to bend down to pick up and throw the item back into the crowd before joining his team-mates.

‘The incident was not spotted by officials but is now being reviewed to determine whether any action needs to be taken,’ the newspaper wrote.

The newspaper listed Tottenham forward Richarlison among those who were ‘previously banned for one match for throwing a lit flare back into the crowd after scoring for his previous club Everton against Chelsea in May 2022.’

‘Didier Drogba was also banned for three matches in 2008 after throwing a coin at Burnley supporters following a Carabao Cup loss.’
