Raphael Onyedika’s market value jumps from €8m to €13m

Onuachu, Boniface also move up in valuation

Club Brugge of Belgium defensive midfielder, Raphael Onyedika’s impressive display for his Jupiler League side especially in the UEFA Champions League have catapaulted his market value to a double digit.

The Nigerian, 21, has seen his market value jumped from €8m just two months ago to €13m after leading Club Brugge to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League for the first time in their history.

He also led the club he joined in August 2022 from Danish side, FC Midtjylland to become only the third Belgian side ever to reach the knockout round of the Champions League.

Onyedika is not the only Nigerian player whose market value rose following Friday’s update of the Belgian Jupiler League by Transfermarkt.

Gangling forward, Paul Onuachu who has regained his goalscoring form saw his market value rise by just €1m after three consecutive drop since it rose to a career high €22m in October 2021.

The 28 year old’s market value first dropped to €20m in January 2022 before losing €3m to drop to €17m four months later. The Nigerian’s valued dropped for the third time in September €14m before rising to €15m in the latest update.

‘New Osimhen’, Victor Boniface who has scored 19 goals in 39 games across all competitions for Royale Union Saint Gilloise also saw his market value rose by 100% from €2m in September to €4m in the latest update on Friday.
