Real Betis, Lyon join race for Ndidi

Foot Mercato is reporting that LaLiga side, Real Betis and Ligue 1 Club, Lyon have joined Premier League side, Everton in the race for Nigeria midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi.
The newspaper reports that Lyon are working behind the scenes to improve their options in this transfer window and Ndidi is one of those being actively pursued.
It was also reported that the club that has another Nigerian, Gift Orban in their rank will like to complete a deal for Ndidi as quickly as possible.
Ndidi is set to be available on a free transfer as his current contract with Leicester is set to expire this summer.
This status will make the Nigerian the bride to many clubs.
Ndidi featured for Leicester City 36 times in the Sky Bet Championships in the just ended season after he was relegated from the Premier League with the Foxes at the end of the 2022/23 season. He scored six times and provided six assists.
Leicester City are believed to be interested in keeping the Nigerian who has featured for in 273 games across all competitions for the Foxes. He scored 17 goals and bagged 17 assists.
