Real Sociedad To Umar Sadiq On Twitter: ‘You’re not alone’

Real Sociedad have sent a message of encouragement to Super Eagles striker Umar Sadiq on twitter after the Nigerian sustained an injury in the club’s 2-1 defeat at Getafe in Laliga on Sunday at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez .

The 25 year old made his first start in the LaLiga for his new club after coming on as a second half substitute on his debut penultimate weekend.

But his dream of scoring his fourth LaLiga goal of the season in six games was shortlived after he copped what looked like a knee injury.

Sadiq was eventually substituted on 38 minutes and was led out of the stadium by one of his club’s physios.

Real Sociedad posted a message on Twitter to express their support for their Nigerian import thus : ‘You are not alone Sadiq.’

The Nigerian will likely undergo a scan on Monday to know the extend of the injury but he looks to be certainly out of Real Sociedad’s Europa League game against Omonia Nicosia on Thursday at the Reale Seguros Stadium and this weekend’s LaLiga game against visiting Espanyol.
