Rodgers confident Ndidi Will Be Fit For 215th Leicester City Appearance

Brendan Rodgers says Leicester City could have Wilfred Ndidi available for Monday’s clash with Nottingham Forest and in the process make his 215th appearance for the Foxes since his January 2017 switch from Belgian side, RKC Genk.

Ndidi’s international break was cut short as the Nigeria international returned to Leicester with a knock.

Nothingham Forest visit King Power Stadium on Monday for the first top-flight encounter between the two sides since 1999.

“We had Wilfred Ndidi come back early,” Rodgers confirmed on Friday. “He’s looking really positive and trained Friday morning so hopefully he will be fine. Dennis Praet had few days where he was struggling, but he came through the last few days well and looked good in training so we’re okay.”

The Nigerian will now be looking to make his seventh start in eight games for the Foxes in the competition so far this term.

It will be his 173rd Premier League game since he joined the Foxes in January 2017, scoring seven times.
