Romano: Troost-Ekong and agent jet out to Saudi Arabia to sign Al Khalood deal
Transfer expert and journalist, Fabrizio Romano is reporting that William Troost-Ekong and his agent David Moss, are on their way to Saudi Arabia as he’s signing for Saudi Pro League side, Al Khalood.
The Athletic reported last week that Greek side, PAOK and Al Khalood have agreed on a deal worth around €1.2 million ($1.3 million), pending final approval from both Al Kholood and the Saudi Pro League authorities.
Troost-Ekong, 30, will sign a two-year contract with an option for a third year.
Al Khalood are keen to add Troost-Ekong’s experience to their squad after finishing third in the country’s second tier last season and will now be playing in the top tier this season.
The Super Eagles captain at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations was named the best player of the tournament albeit Nigeria finished second behind host country, Cote d’Ivoire.
