Scholes: Osimhen’s more of a Chelsea-style player
Man United legend says Nigerian is more of a Drogba or Diego Costa
Paul Scholes believes Victor Osimhen is better suited to Chelsea.
Manchester United legend told Webby & O’Neill that the Napoli striker might be more of a Chelsea-style player.
The two Premier League sides are among a number of top clubs around Europe interested in the Nigerian.
Scholes says Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez and not Osimhen would be better suited to Erik ten Hag’s system.
‘I’ve not seen loads of Osimhen. I know he scores goals, he’s scored a lot of very good goals. He looks more of a Chelsea type, a Drogba or Diego Costa.
‘One of them who can play up on his own. But again he looks a quality player I think he’ll score goals whichever club he goes to.’
Osimhen, 24, has struck 25 goals for Napoli so far this season in 29 appearances.
The 25 year old will miss Napoli’s game against AC Milan this weekend due to injury.
