Sean Dyche says Iwobi’s happy at Everton, dismisses exit links

Everton boss, Sean Dyche has dismissed rumours Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi is unhappy at Goodison Park.

Reports in Turkey have suggested that the midfielder is ‘unhappy’ at the club and Fenerbahce are reportedly interested.

Turkish news outlet A Spor, reports Iwobi is ‘unhappy’ at Goodison Park, and ‘wants to leave’.
Fenerbahce could sign him ‘shortly’ on loan with an option to buy.

But Dyche says the former Arsenal player is very happy at the club.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Sunday’s trip to Nottingham Forest, Dyche insists that Iwobi doesn’t look unhappy from what he’s seen at Finch Farm.

“Well I’ve seen him today and he seems to be quite happy today. I can only go off what my eyes are telling me and what my feel it telling me. I think it’s unlikely, I’d suggest,’ said Dyche at the Presser.

Iwobi has been a key player for the Toffees this season, having scored one goal and bagged eight assists in 28 appearances across all competitions.
The Nigerian joined Everton from Arsenal in August 2019 and has featured 125 times, scoring eight goals and provided 15 assists.
