Shearer: I Have No Faith in Man United Ahead of Leeds Clash

Alan Shearer has backed Leeds United to beat Manchester United at Elland Road, saying he has little faith in the Red Devils following their disappointing start to the Premier League season.

The former England striker believes Leeds can capitalise on United’s struggles, with the home crowd expected to play a significant role in the encounter.

Shearer pointed to United’s poor results, including just two wins in their opening nine matches and a 2-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League, as reasons for his lack of confidence in the team.

‘I’ve got no faith or confidence in Manchester United,’ Shearer said, according to Sportskeeda.

Although Leeds recently lost to Arsenal, Shearer believes their performance offered encouragement. He noted that they took the lead and created chances before eventually suffering defeat.

The Newcastle United legend expects Leeds to approach the fixture with confidence and exploit the pressure surrounding their opponents.

Chris Sutton has made an even bolder prediction, backing Leeds to secure a 5-0 victory over United.

Leeds are seventh in the Premier League table with nine points from six matches, while Manchester United occupied 13th place with six points ahead of the fixture.

United will need a significant improvement in performance to silence their critics, while Leeds will look to turn their home advantage into a statement victory.
