Shearer: It’s hard not to like Bukayo Saka

Premier League pundit Alan Shearer says it’s hard for anyone not to like Arsenal winger, Bukayo Saka after the 22 year old netted for the fifth straight Premier League match to become the first English player to score in five consecutive Premier League games for Arsenal since Ian Wright in 1994.

Shearer who is still the highest scorer in Premier League history with 260 from 441 games says Saka has become such an important player for the Gunners.

‘It’s just hard not to like Bukayo Saka, even though he gave Newcastle a torrid time – it’s a brilliant goal and he’s just so likeable, he works so hard, great skill and a very clever finish.”

Shearer also commented on Arsenal’s form.

“In front of goal at the moment they’re flying, they’ve hit six, five and four again tonight. They’re impressive in every position, that’s what they have to
do. Will they miss that key guy in those tight scrappy games with that poachers goal? At the moment it doesn’t seem to be the case,’ he said.

Menwhile, Saka has also expressed delight with his goal.

“I’m happy with another goal today, and most importantly I’m happy to win. I’m just working hard every day on the training ground, giving my best, and
[patting Kai Havertz] obviously I have great team-mates giving me good passes as well, so it helps.”

Saka has now scored 13 goals in the Premier League this term to become the Gunners’ top scorer in the competition and the top scoring English man so far.
