Sterling Faces Up To Two Years in Prison Over Motorway Crash

Former Manchester City and Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling could face up to two years in prison after being formally charged in connection with a motorway crash in May.

The 31-year-old has been charged with dangerous driving following the incident on the M3 motorway, according to reports by The Sun. Sterling was reportedly driving his £270,000 Lamborghini when it crashed into motorway barriers near the Minley Interchange.

Sterling is also accused of possessing nitrous oxide for wrongful inhalation and failing to provide a specimen. No injuries were reported following the crash involving the former England international or other road users.

The dangerous driving charge follows witness accounts concerning the manner in which the vehicle was being driven at the time of the incident.

Sterling has largely kept a low profile since the crash, making only occasional appearances on social media with his family.
