Super Eagles star, Terem Moffi’s market value soars

Nigerian now valued at €12m

Lorient of France forward Terem Moffi’s market value has risen by €3m from €9m to €12m following his impressive display in the Ligue so far this season, according to the latest update by transfermarkt.

The Nigeria international has scored six goals in eight Ligue 1 matches so far this season and it is the highest by any Nigerian in the competition.

Moffi is in third place in the goalscorers chart in the competition, behind the PSG duo of Neymar who has scored eight times and Kylian Mbappe who has netted seven times.

The 23 year old first reached his highest market value of €12m in October 2021 following his blistering performance the previous season (2020/21) when he scored 14 times and bagged three assists in 32 Ligue 1 games for Lorient.

Last season the Nigerian could only score eight goals and bagged four assists in 37 games in the league. This led to his market value going down first to €10m in December 2021 and later to €9m in May 2022.

Moffi is the most prolific Nigerian forward in the Ligue 1 in the past three seasons, scoring 28 times and provided seven assists in 77 Ligue 1 games, eight goals more than Moses Simon who has scored 20 times in 95 league games.

Meanwhile, Simon and Innocent Bonke’s market value is unchanged. While Simon is still valued at €10m, Bonke’s stagnant at €2m.
