Tabugo breaks 13 seconds again to seal ticket to NCAA Finals in Oregon

Adaobi Tabugo flew to her second legal sub-13 seconds performance (12.95) to seal her passage to next month’s NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
The 23-year-old stormed to a 12.95 finish third in her heat but she did just enough to earn one of the three automatics tickets and will be competing in an individual event for the first time at the NCAA Finals.
Tabugo first broke 13 seconds in the 100m hurdles last month (12.93) but a tail wind of +2.1m/s tail wind renders it illegal.
Undaunted, Tabugo finally legally ran inside 13 seconds a fortnight ago at the Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Championship where she scorched to a 12.87 lifetime best.
