Terem Moffi out of Nice game against Lorient this Sunday

Nigeria forward Terem Moffi is out of Sunday’s Ligue 1 clash between his new club, OGC Nice and former club, Lorient on Sunday at the Allianz Riviera in Nice.

Moffi, 23, is currently on loan at OGC Nice from FC Lorient and will not be available for selection due tp the terms of the deal agreed between the clubs in January.

According to L’Équipel, the twosides agreed that Moffi wouldn’t be allowed to pay for Nice when Lorient visit the Allianz Riviera at the weekend.

Moffi joined Nice in the January transfer window on a loan deal that includes a compulsory purchase option.

The Nigerian forward who netted 35 goals in 90 appearances across all competitions for Lorient across three seasons will sign a four-year deal with Nice paying Lorient €25m, plus a potential €5m in add-ons.

Since joining, Moffi has started all seven of Nice’s games. He has scored three goals so far including two in a local derby against AS Monaco in mid-February.
