Trabzonspor Demand €35m for Defensive Star Nwaiwu

Trabzonspor have rejected a €30 million bid from West Ham United for Nigerian defender Chibuike Nwaiwu, as the race for the 22-year-old intensifies.
Nwaiwu, who joined Trabzonspor from Austrian side Wolfsberger AC in January, has quickly established himself as one of the Turkish club’s prized assets.
He scored three goals and provided one assist in 16 league appearances, playing a pivotal role in helping Trabzonspor lift the Turkish Cup.
His performances have attracted strong interest across Europe. Trabzonspor are understood to have already turned down two bids from Fulham, while Bayer Leverkusen are also monitoring the centre-back.
According to Turkish outlet Taka Gazete, West Ham’s €30 million offer was rejected, with Trabzonspor holding out for at least €35 million before considering a sale.
The Nigerian international’s rise has made him one of the most sought-after young defenders in Europe, and with multiple clubs circling, Trabzonspor face a crucial decision on whether to cash in or keep their defensive star for another season.
