Trabzonspor want Arokodare as replacement for Onuachu
Trabzonspor are reportedly interested in signing Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare from Genk, according to Belgian news outlet, Het Nieuwsblad.
The newspaper says Genk are willing to listen to offers for their striker who scored in their 3-2 defeat of Club Brugge on Sunday and will be willing to sell if their valuation is met.
Arokodare, 23, joined the club in January 2023 for around €5m from French side Amiens. He was brought in to replace Paul Onuachu who left that same month for English Premier League side, Southampton.
The Nigerian scored 21 goals in 63 games for the French and has now scored 18 goals in 65 games for Genk. He has netted twice in three games this season.
Trabzonspor were initially interested in Onuachu but did not want to play Southampton’s valuation of the striker.
Onuachu played on loan for the Turkish Super Lig club last season, scoring 15 times in 21 games.
