UEFA Champions League: Bayern Munich to bank on Harry Kane’s goals and record  to make it 5-0 against Arsenal in knockout stages

Stuttering FC Bayern Munich will be banking on the lethal boots of Harry Kane to extend their 100 percent record against Arsenal in the knockout stages of
the UEFA Champions League.

The Bavarians will face Arsenal for the fifth time in the Champions League knockout stages, progressing on each of the previous four occasions – more often
than against any other club (all in the last 16, most recently in 2016-07).

The Germans have however been unimpressive so far this season, trailing Bayer Leverkusen by 10 points after 25 rounds of matches in the Bundesliga and have
depended largely on the goals of Harry Kane who has netted 36 times in 34 games across all competitions from the club he joined from Tottenham Hotspur last
summer.

Bayern will not only be banking on Kane’s goals this term but also his record against the Gunners.

The England captain scored more Premier League goals against Arsenal than any other player in the competition’s history (14).

Meanwhile, this is the Gunners’ first campaign back amongst European football’s elite in seven seasons and Sporting Director Edu is thrilled to see big
Champions League knockout nights return to Emirates Stadium.

Edu is confident Arsenal can overcome Bayern for the first time ever in the competition and qualify for the semifinals.
