Emmanuel Dennis got his first red card in the Premier League as Watford crash 3-0 to Norwich at the Vicarage Road stadium.
The 24 year old Nigerian was given his second yellow card of the game on 78 minutes and his exit snuffed all hopes of a comeback for the Hornets.
Dennis who has scored eight times in 18 appearances so far this season was looking to score his ninth goal of the campaign against the Canaries but ended up getting red carded.
The Nigerian will now miss Watford’s trip to the London stadium against West Ham United next month.
Dennis got his first career red card in Europe in a Belgian Jupiler Pro League tie in his club Club Brugge’s 1-1 draw with visiting KAA Gent in February 2019.
Meanwhile Watford have slipped into the bottom three with 14 points from 20 games, two behind Norwich who have played two games more.
The Hornets, it would be recalled stopped Dennis from representing Nigeria at the ongoing 33rd Africa Cup of Nations.
