2026 FIFA World Cup Final Tickets Soar to $7,500!
The cost of attending the 2026 FIFA World Cup final between Spain and Argentina has soared to unprecedented levels, with supporters potentially facing a total bill of more than $9,400 to watch the historic match live.
The final, scheduled to take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, has generated enormous demand, pushing ticket prices to record levels through FIFA’s official ticketing platform and the resale market.
The cheapest ticket reportedly available through FIFA’s official platform is priced at around $7,500, while premium VIP experiences can cost as much as $35,200.
The steep prices have sparked criticism from football supporters and officials, including the president of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Rafael Louzán.
Speaking to Cadena SER, Louzán expressed concern over the financial burden facing ordinary Spanish supporters hoping to attend the final.
He said the cheapest tickets had at one point reached around $4,000, describing the situation as unacceptable for fans from middle- and lower-income backgrounds who had made significant efforts to travel to the tournament.
The cost of attending the final extends well beyond the price of the match ticket. A direct flight from Madrid to New York can cost more than $1,290, while accommodation near the stadium for two nights can easily exceed $1,170.
Once transportation, meals and other expenses are added, the total cost of attending the final can surpass $9,400 per person, even without luxury travel or hospitality packages.
The soaring costs have raised concerns that the World Cup final, traditionally regarded as one of football’s greatest celebrations, is becoming increasingly inaccessible to ordinary supporters.
