Osimhen: I prefer playing in MLS to Saudi Pro League but I feel comfortable in Naples
Napoli striker Victor Osimhen says he will prefer to play in the Major League Soccer, MLS, in the USA to the Saudi Pro League if the conditions were the
same.
The Napoli striker however insists he is very happy and comfortable in Naples.
In an interview with TV Play, the Nigerian was asked about the Saudi Pro League which he was linked with in the summer and if he will prefer playing there to
playing in the MLS.
The Nigerian was asked about the Saudi Pro League and he said: ‘It (Saudi Pro League) is on the rise, it attracted a lot of talent last summer and a lot of
players went there. Under the same conditions, I will prefer to go to the United States.’
The 24-year-old is currently injured and is likely to be out for about four more weeks, but he has scored six times already in the Serie A.
He was linked with moves away from Napoli last summer with Bayern Munich, Man United, Chelsea and PSG top on the list of suitors but a transfer did not
materialise.
Osimhen says he is very comfortable where he is at the moment.
‘For me already being a player at this level is a dream. If it [Ballon D’or] were to arrive it would be fantastic, but it’s not an obsession. I feel very
comfortable in Naples. Scoring is always a thrill, more so doing it at the Maradona.’
