Lookman not in Atalanta squad for Torino game

Ademola Lookman is not in Atalanta’s squad for their Serie A game against Torino at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino on Sunday.
The Nigerian missed the opening game of the season for the Bergamo side after he reportedly asked to be left out following the reported interest shown in the player by Ligue 1 giants, PSG.
Lookman, who scored a hat-trick to help the club win their first silverware in a long while returned to training during the week, but the club has decided not to name him in the squad for Sunday’s game.
‘Lookman situation being discussed internally while Koopmeiners only wants Juventus… he’s waiting for club decision after €59m package proposal sent two weeks ago,’ wrote transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano on his X handle.
TuttoAtalanta reported during the week that a positive meeting has taken place between Atalanta and the entourage of Lookman and the parties have a basis to continue together.
‘The atmosphere was relaxed, and it seems quite likely that the two parties are happy with each other,’ wrote the newspaper.
