Chelsea may dump Osimhen for Boniface after scouting Leverkusen striker

TBR Football has revealed that Premier League side, Chelsea have scouted Victor Boniface in recent weeks and could move for the Bayer Leverkusen star after failing to sign his compatriot, Victor Osimhen at the summer transfer window.

The west London side are reported to be happy with Nicolas Jackson who has scored four times in five Premier League games so far but still believe they are a striker short after their unsuccessful attempt to get Osimhen.

TBR also revealed that Tottenham showed an interest in Boniface prior to them making a move for Dominic Solanke.

Boniface has been very impressive this season and have scored four goals in six games across all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen this term including three in four Bundesliga games.

The Nigerian is seen as an improvement on Jackson who Chelsea legend, Mikel Obi had earlier criticized for not measuring up until the Senegalese started scoring.
It has to be said, both Boniface and Jackson have made seriously impressive starts to the 2024/25 campaign.
