‘It’s net fee of 75 million euros or no deal for Osimhen,’ Says Napoli Sporting Director, Manna
Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has confirmed there is huge interest in Galatasaray’s on-loan striker, Victor Osimhen but insists the 75 million euros release clause agreed for his sale next summer is non-negotiable.
Osimhen was linked with a move to either Chelsea or Saudi Arabia Pro League side, Al Hilal on transfer deadline day but the Nigerian’s insistence on at least a salary that matches what he was earning at Napoli scuttled the move to the Premier League side.
Napoli’s last-minute increase in the asking price for the Nigerian also ensured Al Hilal pulled out of the deal.
With the transfer market still open in Turkey, Galatasaray moved in for the Nigerian and secured a loan deal with the agreement that the 25-year-old will leave in the summer of 2025 for 75 million euros.
Galatasaray have signified interest in making the deal for the Nigerian permanent and have been reported to have set aside a fee of 50 million euros and three players viz Davinson Sanchez, Barış Alper Yılmaz and Yunus Akgün to seal the deal.
Manna, according to Turkish news outlet, Milliyet, is insisting there will be no discount on the Nigerian.
‘There are many clubs interested in Osimhen. Galatasaray will not be able to buy Osimhen if they do not pay the net fee of 75 million euros,’ Manna was quoted to have said by the newspaper.
