Sevilla coach, Pimienta: Iheanacho future uncertain, out of Copa del Rey game at UD Almeria

Sevilla head coach, García Pimienta, has confirmed that Kelechi Iheanacho’s future at the club is uncertain even as he revealed the Nigerian will not be part of his squad to play Almeria in a Copa Del Rey round of 32 game on Saturday.
Iheanacho joined Sevilla as a free agent in July after over nine years in England but the Nigerian has been deemed surplus to requirement after failing to score in the first half of his first season in the LaLiga.
The 28 year old has however netted thrice in two Copa Del Rey appearances but Pimienta says the Nigerian will not be available for the game at the UD Almería Stadium.
‘Kelechi has returned from the holidays with a slight strain. It is known that he has offers from other clubs. It’s not a serious injury, but a slight strain. He has not trained and will not be able to travel for tomorrow’s game.
‘We know he has offers, but we don’t know if it will happen or not. He can’t travel because of the injury,’ Pimienta said at his pre-match press conference on Friday.
