Osimhen deal nears completion as Galatasaray guarantees €75m

Galatasaray offer banking assurances to Napoli for Osimhen transfer
Galatasaray is on the verge of sealing one of the most high-profile deals of the summer transfer window, as negotiations with Napoli for Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen have reached a decisive breakthrough.
Club officials have formally committed to providing banking guarantees to finalize a €75 million transfer for the Super Eagles striker. The fee matches Osimhen’s original release clause, although this agreement was reached outside of the deadline, allowing the Turkish club to pay in five instalments.
Talks had extended nearly 24 hours beyond expectations, with intermediaries including George Gardi and Galatasaray directors remaining in Italy to iron out financial assurances. According to transfer insiders Alfredo Pedullà, Ekrem Konur, and Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Napoli is now awaiting written proof of the guarantees to allow legal review and clearance.
Once the letter of credit is verified, Osimhen will be given the green light to fly to Istanbul and complete the move.
Victor Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, reportedly turned down a highly lucrative offer from Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal, choosing instead to continue his career in Turkey. Despite interest from Premier League and LaLiga sides, no club activated his full release clause.
Galatasaray remains confident their latest effort will finally secure the striker’s permanent return.
