Captain Onuachu hails teammates after Samsunspor victory

Trabzonspor captain Paul Onuachu expressed pride in his teammates after their 3-0 away victory over Samsunspor in the Trendyol Süper Lig.
Onuachu struck twice, with Ernest Muçi adding the third, as the Black Seaside moved up to 45 points in the league.
Speaking after the game, Onuachu highlighted the collective effort behind the win.
‘We knew it would be a very difficult match because Samsunspor are a good team. My teammates really gave their all. It was a very important win and a very good three points.
‘I believe in the quality of our team and players. Our fans were incredible today, traveling such a long way to support us. This win is for them. It’s a great honor to captain Trabzonspor.’
Onuachu’s brace took his tally to 15 goals this season, keeping him at the top of the Süper Lig scoring charts.
Mustafa Eskihellaç, who filled in on the wing in the absence of Viktor Zubkov, also praised the team’s performance.
‘It was a tough away game, but we fought very well. At the start we struggled for five or ten minutes, but once we settled, we controlled the match. We’re working with great pleasure and reaping the rewards.
‘Our goal is to become an even stronger and more successful team to make this community proud. Playing in attack today was enjoyable, and I tried to give my best.’
