Juventus Brace for ‘Familiar Foe’ Osimhen Ahead Galatasaray Playoff Clash

Juventus are bracing themselves for a familiar challenge as they prepare to face Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League Playoff first leg at RAMS Park in Turkey on Tuesday.
The Italian giants, who fell 3-2 to Inter Milan in Serie A at the weekend, have shifted focus to Europe, where they will confront the formidable threat of Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian striker has been in devastating form this season, scoring six goals in six Champions League matches, accounting for two-thirds of Galatasaray’s total goals in the competition.
On their official website, Juventus acknowledged Osimhen as a ‘familiar foe,’ recalling his exploits against them during his time at Napoli.
‘This will be the seventh Champions League meeting between Galatasaray and Juventus, but only the first in the knockout stages of the competition,’ the club wrote.
‘Juventus are unbeaten in their five Champions League matches under Luciano Spalletti (3W, 2D) and have kept a clean sheet in each of their last three. FAMILIAR FOE | Victor Osimhen has scored six goals in six appearances in this season’s Champions League.’
Osimhen’s record against Juventus is notable: two goals and two assists in seven matches while at Napoli.
His aerial power and clinical finishing have made him Galatasaray’s most dangerous weapon, and the Old Lady know that containing him will be key to their hopes of progressing.
