Former Super Eagle, Henry Nwosu is Dead

Former Super Eagles star, Henry Nwosu, MON, has passed away.
Nwosu died at 4:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, Lagos, after spending five days in Intensive Care battling for his life.
The sad news was revealed by ex-international Segun Odegbami, who described Nwosu as ‘Youngest Millionaire’, a nickname that reflected his prodigious talent and promise.
Henry Nwosu was a member of Nigeria’s historic 1980 Africa Cup of Nations Green Eagles squad, the team that won the country’s first continental title.
He went on to become one of the most recognizable figures in Nigerian football during the 1980s, admired for his skill, vision, and fearless play.
His death marks the loss of another legend from Nigeria’s golden generation of footballers.
