Osimhen Set to Miss Key Matches, Medical Team Targets Derby Return

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has suffered a serious setback after fracturing his arm during the recent clash against Liverpool.

The Nigerian forward, whose arm has been placed in a cast, is now awaiting surgery as the club’s medical team outlines a lengthy recovery process.

According to reports in Sabah, Osimhen is expected to miss at least three to four league fixtures, including matches against Trabzonspor, Kocaeli, and Gençlerbirliği, as well as the rescheduled Göztepe encounter.

His absence will also extend to a Turkish Cup fixture, further compounding Galatasaray’s challenges in the coming weeks.

Despite the grim outlook, Galatasaray’s medical committee is determined to accelerate his rehabilitation in hopes of making him available for the highly anticipated Fenerbahçe derby scheduled for the week of April 26.

Optimistic projections suggest Osimhen could return to full fitness within a month, though his participation in the derby remains uncertain.

The injury represents a significant blow to Galatasaray’s attacking options, with the club now facing a crucial period without their star forward.

All eyes will be on his recovery timeline as the derby approaches, a fixture that could prove decisive in the season’s outcome.
