Boniface Among Top Five Biggest Market Value Losers in Europe

Victor Boniface has been named among the top five players with the biggest market value drops this season, with his valuation plummeting to just €5 million in Transfermarkt’s March 2026 update.

Once valued at career high €45m after a breakout campaign in Germany, the Nigerian striker’s trajectory has been derailed by injuries and poor form.

Boniface, currently on loan at Werder Bremen from Bayer Leverkusen, has seen his market value collapse to its lowest point in four years.

According to Transfermarkt, his valuation now stands at €5m, down from €20m in October 2025 and a peak of €45m in 2024.

The sharp decline is attributed to a long-term knee injury that required surgery in January 2026, sidelining him for much of the current campaign.

Alongside Boniface, Rodri tops the list with a €45m drop, while Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo each lost €40m in value. Gavi also features in the top five, his valuation hit by injury setbacks.

The Premier League is represented in the top ten by Florian Wirtz and Bukayo Saka, both enduring €30m reductions.

Wirtz has struggled to adapt since joining Liverpool, while Saka has been far from his best at Arsenal. Despite their downgrades, both remain valued at over €100m, reflecting their long-term potential.
