Nigeria’s Moses Simon has been named the ninth highest-paid African player in Ligue 1 for the 2025/2026 season, according to L’Équipe.

The Paris FC winger earns €200,000 per month, a figure that reflects his enduring reputation as one of the league’s most dangerous wide men, known for his pace and dribbling ability.

At the very top of the rankings sits Achraf Hakimi of Morocco, who dominates the list with a staggering €1,120,000 monthly salary at Paris Saint-Germain.

He is the only African player in France to surpass the symbolic one-million mark, underlining his status as one of the world’s best full-backs.

Second place belongs to Geoffrey Kondogbia of the Central African Republic, earning €450,000 at Marseille. His physical presence and leadership in midfield have made him indispensable for OM.

Nayef Aguerd, also of Morocco and playing for Marseille, completes the podium with €400,000. The defender’s aerial strength and consistency have cemented his place among Ligue 1’s top earners.

Veteran striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Gabon, another Marseille star, remains among the elite with €350,000 per month. His goals and experience continue to make him a valuable asset.

Sofiane Diop of Morocco, at Nice, also earns €350,000, ranking fifth. His creativity and vision have been central to Nice’s attacking play.
