Terem Moffi’s Loan Spell at Porto Marks End of His Nice Career

OGC Nice vice-president Maurice Cohen has confirmed that Nigerian striker Terem Moffi will not return to the French club, regardless of whether his loan deal at FC Porto includes a permanent transfer.

Moffi, who joined Porto on loan earlier this season, has featured in 14 official matches for the Portuguese side, scoring two goals and providing one assist.

The 26-year-old forward could remain at the Estádio do Dragão if Porto decides to activate the €8 million purchase option included in the agreement.

Speaking to Ici Azur radio, Cohen stated clearly: ‘They will not return to Nice, whether their purchase options are exercised or not.’

The decision follows tensions between the players and sections of Nice supporters earlier in the campaign.

Moffi’s future now hinges on Porto’s willingness to secure his services permanently. Having previously impressed in Ligue 1, the Nigerian international appears set to continue his career away from Nice, with Portugal offering him a fresh chapter.
