Kane: PSG Slight Favourites, But Arsenal Can Win

England captain Harry Kane has described the upcoming Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal as ‘really even,’ after Bayern Munich’s heartbreaking semi-final elimination.

Kane, who scored late in the second leg against holders PSG at the Allianz Arena, could not prevent Bayern from bowing out 6-5 on aggregate.

The prolific striker was visibly emotional at full-time, consoled by head coach Vincent Kompany, as his hopes of a second Champions League final appearance slipped away.

Reflecting on the showdown set for Budapest’s Puskas Arena on May 30, Kane admitted PSG, as defending champions, may hold a slight edge but insisted Arsenal cannot be ruled out.

‘Two totally different teams in the way they play but two very strong teams. It will be an interesting final,’ he said. ‘PSG being champions probably hold the right to be slight favourites but overall, two top teams going at it and it will be an even match.’

The Gunners, who last reached the final in 2006, will be chasing their first-ever Champions League crown, while PSG aim to defend their title.
