Transfermarkt Update: Osimhen Holds €75m, Nwaiwu Rises, Ndidi Adjusts
The Turkish Süper Lig season has concluded with Galatasaray celebrating their 26th league title, and Transfermarkt has released its latest update covering 478 players across the division.
At the very top of the valuation charts, Galatasaray’s star striker Victor Osimhen remains unchanged at €75 million, keeping his status as the most valuable player in Türkiye.
Despite speculation linking him to Barcelona and Arsenal, Transfermarkt analysts opted to hold his valuation steady, citing his elite standing among world football’s forwards.
‘Top strikers like Victor Osimhen are always in very high demand in the transfer market, and he is clearly one of the elite forwards in world football right now,’ said Sinan Yener, Transfermarkt’s Market Value Admin for Türkiye.
Yet questions remain about how long Osimhen can sustain such a high valuation in the Süper Lig, with his salary expectations, reportedly around €20 million per year, seen as a potential obstacle to a move back to Europe.
Beyond Osimhen, several other Nigerian internationals feature in the latest update.
Chibuike Nwaiwu, Trabzonspor’s rising centre-back, saw his market value climb by €3 million to €10 million, reflecting his growing influence and potential.
Wilfred Ndidi, now at Beşiktaş, experienced a slight downgrade, dropping €2 million to €8 million. Fellow Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu (Trabzonspor) remains valued at €6 million, while Anthony Dennis (Watford, on loan in Türkiye) holds steady at €8 million.
Midfielders Ibrahim Olawoyin (Sivasspor) and Tom Dele-Bashiru (Hatayspor) are valued at €2.20m and €1.80m respectively, while winger Henry Onyekuru (Fatih Karagümrük) saw his valuation dip to €1 million, down €500k.
