Seven Years On, Family Remembers Late Coach Solomon Ogbeide

Seven years after the death of former Sunshine Stars and Lobi Stars coach Solomon Ogbeide, his family has paid tribute to his memory, thanking God for sustaining them through the years.

His wife, Mrs. Ndidi Ogbeide, said the family continues to miss him but has remained strong through faith.

‘Today is seven years after my husband and lovely father died and we glorify God for standing by us. With His grace and mercy, we’ve been strong. The children are doing great though they continue to miss their father,’ she said.

She described Ogbeide as ‘a good man who continues to guide me and the children,’ adding that his legacy of a godly life still radiates over the family.

‘We get things done with little effort when people realise we’re his family. I thank God that coach was a believer and a pillar in God’s vineyard. May his soul continue to rest in peace,’ she said.

Mrs. Ogbeide also expressed gratitude to some of her late husband’s friends for their continued support.

‘At short notice, they are ready to assist the family. We’re grateful,’ she noted.

Ogbeide, remembered for his contributions to Nigerian club football, left behind a reputation as a dedicated coach and a man of faith.
