Arteta Named Premier League Manager of the Season
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been crowned Premier League Manager of the Season for 2025/26, following his side’s historic league title win.
Arteta collected the award at the League Managers Association ceremony at the Grosvenor Hotel, just 48 hours after lifting the Premier League trophy and ending Arsenal’s 22-year wait for a championship.
The 44-year-old guided his team to 27 wins and seven draws across 38 matches, maintaining top spot for nearly the entire campaign since October.
Arsenal also reached the Champions League final for the first time in two decades, underlining the club’s resurgence.
Defensively, the Gunners were unmatched, keeping clean sheets in half of their league fixtures and conceding only 27 goals, the best record in the division.
Arteta, the second-youngest manager ever to win the award, had already been named Manager of the Month eight times during his tenure, including five nominations this season.
His recognition marks Arsenal’s first Manager of the Season accolade since Arsène Wenger’s Invincibles campaign in 2004.
The Spaniard edged out Pep Guardiola, Andoni Iraola, Keith Andrews, Michael Carrick, and Régis Le Bris, with the winner determined by a combination of public votes and expert panel deliberations.
