Chelle Urges Flying Eagles to Stay Focused Ahead of WAFU U20 Tournament
Super Eagles Head Coach, Éric Chelle, has charged Nigeria’s U20 boys, the Flying Eagles, to remain focused and diligent as they intensify preparations for the upcoming WAFU B U20 Men’s Football Tournament scheduled to take place in Cote d’Ivoire next month.
Chelle delivered the message during his visit to the team at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, on Friday morning.
His visit came shortly after the Flying Eagles recorded an emphatic 5-0 victory in a friendly match against Bussdor United, part of their build-up to the regional competition.
‘If you want to succeed and go far to achieve your dreams, you have to be focused and secondly, listen attentively to your coaches,’ Chelle advised. ‘If you do these, the sky will definitely be your starting point and your chances of success will be high.’
Flying Eagles Head Coach, Abdu Maikaba, expressed gratitude for Chelle’s encouragement, noting that the team is determined to deliver a strong performance at the forthcoming tournament.
‘We are focused on having a good outing and making Nigeria proud,’ Maikaba said.
The Flying Eagles, two-time FIFA U20 World Cup silver medallists, continue their preparations with optimism as they aim for glory in Cote d’Ivoire.
