James Arinze Leaves FC Midtjylland for Slovenian Side NK Bravo

FC Midtjylland have confirmed the transfer of 20-year-old Nigerian midfielder James Arinze to Slovenian top-flight club NK Bravo.

Arinze joined Midtjylland in 2025 from strategic partner club F.C. Ebedei, where he was part of the academy setup.

Since arriving in Denmark, he has featured prominently for Midtjylland’s U19 team, winning two Danish U19 championships and competing in the UEFA Youth League.

Now, the young midfielder takes the next step in his career with NK Bravo, who finished third in the Slovenian PrvaLiga last season and will compete in qualification for the UEFA Conference League.

Jonas Dal, Head of FCM Nigeria, praised Arinze’s journey and the significance of the move: ‘It’s always great when we can send players on in their careers to a club that will even play for qualification for the Conference League next season. We are proud of that, but we are also proud of James’ entire journey from the academy at FC Ebedei to Midtjylland, and now to NK Bravo.

‘This sale benefits James, but it also shows those who come after that there is a road from Ebedei to FC Midtjylland and on to other clubs. We are happy that we can once again sell a player from FC Ebedei with Churchill Oliseh and Fredrick Oliseh.’
