Tijani Joins Hungarian Side After Slavia Prague Exit

Hungarian top-flight club Ujpest FC have announced the signing of Nigerian striker Muhammed Tijani from Czech giants Slavia Prague.

The 25-year-old earned the move after an impressive loan spell with Nyíregyháza Spartacus during the second half of last season, where he scored eight goals and provided three assists in just 15 league appearances.

His performances quickly established him as one of the standout forwards in the division.

Ujpest sporting director Pal Dardai hailed the acquisition, describing Tijani as a major reinforcement for the club’s attacking line.

‘Tijani is a quality player who is a real reinforcement in the attacking line, where based on his abilities he solves problems that have been a serious issue until now,’ Dardai told the club’s official website.

He added: ‘His speed, physique, and intensity of play will fundamentally contribute to our game becoming faster and more agile next season. I am happy that he has arrived and can immediately get involved in the work.’

The move marks a fresh chapter for Tijani, who will now look to build on his breakthrough in Hungary and establish himself as a key figure for Ujpest in the upcoming campaign.
