Botev Plovdiv Secure Nigerian Striker Chidera Okoh

Bulgarian First League club Botev Plovdiv have announced the signing of Nigerian striker Chidera Michael Okoh from Greek side Asteras Aktor ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

The 23-year-old forward arrives after two seasons in Greece, where he featured for both the senior and reserve teams.

Okoh becomes Botev’s seventh addition of the summer, joining Asen Chandarov, Georgi Milanov, Dimitar Tonev, Todor Nedelev, Bogdan Kostov and Timothy Awany, all of whom arrived as free agents.

The club confirmed that Okoh will wear the No. 9 jersey and reunite with fellow Nigerians Samuel Kalu, Chimezie Williams, Ifenna Dorgu and Bryan Hein at the Bulgarian outfit.

Having begun his career with Divine Praise, Okoh went on to play for Slovan Liberec and Mosta before moving to Asteras in 2024.

Botev Plovdiv believe his arrival will significantly bolster their attacking options as they prepare for the new season.
