Hamburg Open Talks for Super Eagles Striker Terem Moffi

Bundesliga newcomers Hamburg are weighing up a move for Nigerian striker Terem Moffi as they continue to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season.

According to German outlet Hamburger Abendblatt, the club has opened discussions over a potential deal for the 27-year-old, who is under contract with French side Nice until 2027.

Hamburg are looking to add further firepower to their squad after already signing Zambia international Patson Daka.

Moffi’s recent career has been hampered by injury after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture that sidelined him for most of the 2024/25 season.

Following his recovery, the Super Eagles forward made just 10 appearances for Nice before joining Portuguese giants Porto on loan during the second half of last season.

The Nigerian scored two goals and provided one assist in 15 appearances for Porto, but his overall record in French football remains impressive.

Across spells with Lorient and Nice, Moffi has scored 54 goals in 148 Ligue 1 matches, establishing himself as one of the league’s most reliable forwards before his injury setback.
