Osimhen Stars with Two Goals and Assist as Galatasaray Thrash Erzurumspor 4-0

Victor Osimhen produced a dazzling performance for Galatasaray on Friday night, scoring twice and providing an assist as the Turkish champions cruised to a 4-0 victory over Erzurumspor FK in the second week of the Trendyol Süper Lig.
Roland Sallai opened the scoring in the 12th minute before Yunus Akgün doubled Galatasaray’s advantage eight minutes later, with Osimhen playing a key role in the move.
The Nigerian striker received the ball on the left, drove into the penalty area and cut it back for Akgün to finish from close range.
Osimhen then got on the scoresheet himself just before half-time.
After Erzurumspor goalkeeper Orbanic failed to deal with a back pass from Yakup Kırtay, the Nigeria international seized possession and calmly fired into an empty net from inside the penalty arc to give Galatasaray a 3-0 lead at the interval.
The 27-year-old remained a constant threat after the restart, with one effort deflected by the defence before he later created another opportunity with a dangerous cross from the left.
His persistence was rewarded again in the 80th minute when he converted from close range after receiving Sara’s cross to complete his brace and cap a memorable individual display.
The result takes Galatasaray to four points from their opening two league matches. They will host Göztepe next week, while Erzurumspor will travel to Gençlerbirliği.
